Job Description

Role: 1st Line Support Technician

Location: Remote Based (Candidates need to be able to commute to Leeds when required)

Salary: £20,000 – £23,000pa + Benefits

Exciting opportunity for someone to join a growing company as they look to expand their IT department within the 1st line support team. My client is looking for someone who is keen to progress in IT, and learn new skills.

As part of the job, you will be trained, developed and learn more about a diverse product range and how you can offer support services to customers. You will work across a variety of technologies within the IT infrastructure and telecoms space, enabling you to progress your career.

Responsibilities for the 1st line support role include:

* Providing effective first-line support to the company's customers

* Working to strict SLAs, following correct escalation procedures, ensuring the timely resolution of incidents and problems as prioritised in agreed service levels.

* Effective incident ticket queue management, communications and ownership of logged incident tickets.

* Managing and responding to automated internal alerts.

* Upkeep of internal IT documentation.

Key skills/experience required:

* Strong communication skills. Must enjoy working in a customer service type environment

* IT knowledge/experience – Candidates will either have experience in IT support or be a graduate with an IT background.

* Go above and beyond to take a task to its completion.

* Are able to work efficiently on your own, or as a supportive team member.

* Have experience of working to tight and moving deadlines.

* Have knowledge of IT/Telecom technologies

This role is suited to a graduate from an IT course, someone who has experience in an IT support role previously or someone from a customer service background who has some IT skills. My client will provide full training and development opportunities for your career within IT. The role is remote based, but candidates must be willing to travel to Leeds when required
