Job Description: Senior IT Engineer
Location: EC, London City
Salary: £40,000 (DOE)

I am working with a growing organisation who are recruiting for a 2nd Line Engineer to join their IT team due to company growth & success.

Role Overview

A permanent full-time 2nd-3rd Line IT Engineer who will be a single point of contact for our customers, logging and managing all calls, emails and tickets within SLA whilst providing strategic technical guidance.

Soft Skills:

* Experience of working on an IT Service Desk / MSP
* Appreciation of ITIL Service Management disciplines, i.e. Incident, Problem and Change Request
* Excellent communicator – particularly on the telephone, customer facing
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Good written and spoken English

* Ability to effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines
* Ability to follow internal and external procedures and policies

Technical Certifications:

* Microsoft certifications, Office 365, and Azure Fundamentals certifications

Technical Skills:

Experience with Microsoft Cloud solutions, Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business) and Azure
Previous experience with Microsoft Azure environment (Azure backups, virtual machines management, storage accounts, site to site VPN, PowerShell)
Experience with Device Management Systems, i.e., Intune
Strong understanding of Windows Server Operating Systems and Server Virtualization
Practical knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Exchange, WDS
General knowledge and troubleshooting of smart phones
Practical knowledge of multifactor authentication solutions in Azure and on-premise
Experience in configuring routers, switches and firewalls from different vendors (Cisco, SonicWALL, HP) – nice to have
File and folder security management
