£23,500-£30,000 per year
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
Hybrid after initial period in the office
Netwirking Recruitment are working with a national client based in the IT sector who are looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their growing group of businesses.
You will provide 2nd line support to external and internal customers seeking technical assistance via phone, email or in person. This will include installing, maintaining, testing and repairing various systems and networks.
As a 2nd Line Support Engineer you will:
* Serve as the first/second point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone, e-mail, or in person.
* Work with the 1st line engineers on movement of escalated tickets
* Effectively advise and assist customers on appropriate action.
* Create documentation on resolutions for issues
* Direct unresolved issues to the next tier of support or the Team Leader.
* Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
Skills and Experience:
* Troubleshooting of Windows 10/11 environments
* TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting
* Ability to troubleshoot Identity Management Active Directory, Azure AD
* Ability to troubleshoot Exchange and Exchange Online issues.
* VPN knowledge (IKEv2, L2TP, SSL, Site to Site)
* Knowledge of security best practices
* Basic troubleshooting knowledge on terminal services (RDS or Citrix)
* Troubleshooting of Backup infrastructure (Veeam, Backup Exec, iland)
* Knowledge of antivirus solutions and deployments (Microsoft Defender, mVision, Carbon Black)
About you:
* Prior experience within a service desk or similar role
* A logical and thorough approach to resolving incidents and requests
* Exceptional customer service skills with experience in supporting remote problems
