Job Description
The Opportunity:
My client working within the public services sector are currently looking for a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer on a permanent basis. You must be will to support the IT Manager in the development of an efficient and effective IT support service for my client. You must have a good IT background and a candidate with a strong networking background is preferred.
Skills and Experience:
* To design and implement new infrastructure across the business, including but not limited to Office 365, switches, routers, servers, WAN/LAN connections.
* To support the infrastructure across the business, including but not limited to Office 365, switches, routers, servers, WAN/LAN connections.
* Support the IT Manager with the training of Apprentices
* Deal with IT calls across the business, liaising with the IT Manager as appropriate
* Carry out daily checks to ensure the stability of the infrastructure in each business and update the appropriate documentation on a daily basis
* Design and implementation of new projects and technologies under the guidance of the IT Manager.
* Provide training for the first line IT team across the business.
* Assist in the use of IT within the environment through the maintenance of IT software, hardware, and related peripherals
* Develop quality relationships with all users of IT facilities
* Resolution of problems within software or hardware where possible. Where not possible, liaise with the relevant agency to affect repair
* Ensure that backups of the cloud for each site is monitored, reporting any issues to the IT Manager
* Undertake updates to the security of the networks, to include carrying out software and hardware updates as required (anti-virus, software patches etc.)
