Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Type: Perm

Loc: Godalming

Sal: £22-£25,000

This is a great opportunity for an individual who is studying AAT to start their accounting journey at a growing IT & Software business. The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting the Accounts team with order processing, sales ledger, purchase ledger, sales invoices and cash payments.

The primary job responsibilities include:

Reviewing and processing sales orders and placing relevant purchase orders
Accurately raising, coding and inputting sales invoices
Reconciling purchase invoices to relevant orders, coding and inputting in the accounts system
Issue of Customer Statements and assistance with credit control
Reporting daily cash movements at bank

Key Responsibilities

Process sales orders and place purchase orders from relevant suppliers
Maintain Salesforce with order information as required
Process sales invoices – process debtor statements
Process purchase invoices – reconcile creditor statements
Report daily cash movements at bank
Process cash receipts and payments at bank
Debt collection & credit control
Process internal expense
General admin support and ad-hoc tasksSkills and Experience:

Essential:

Working towards an AAT Qualification
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Experience of working in a similar and varied accounting position
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrable planning, time management and organisational skills
Computer literate with Word and Outlook skills
Sound database management skills
Attention to detailDesirable:

Experience of working with Filemaker, Opera, Concur, Salesforce or similar systems
Demonstrable report writing skillsSales account administration experience
