Job Description
Do you want to work for a technology company providing cutting edge software and infrastructure solutions to facilitate the prevention and detection of online criminal activity?
Are you a Business Analyst who wants to play an integral part across the business, working on a range of projects, IT software to change management, providing concise, accurate and informative reporting to key stakeholders and supporting the delivery of current and strategic initiatives?
Do you have experience of Jira and Confluence as well as working using an Agile methodology (e.g. Scrum)?
Responsibilities;
Gather and document business requirements using Agile, human-centric approaches such as User Stories and wireframes,
Create detailed process-flow diagrams, acceptance criteria and data specs to support documented requirements, wherever applicable,
Facilitate decision-making by providing stakeholders with useful and relevant information to help shape, prioritise and develop designs,
Chair meetings between stakeholders, ensuring effective engagement, providing an environment that supports and encourages positive input from all attendees and resolving alternative viewpoints, working to achieve a consensus view as and where appropriate,
Actively engage in Agile planning, feeding into backlog-refinement and Planning Poker sessions,
Work to achieve estimated design-timings & proactively report up when issues or blockers arise,
Prepare documentation for sign-off, run detailed reviews with SMEs and present highlights of proposed and actual changes to internal and external stakeholders, as and when required,
Assist in the efficient prioritisation and maintenance of the Product Backlog, collaborating with developers, system engineers and business stakeholders to create and refine User Stories and other Agile artefacts,
Support developers and testers in resolving design-related queries,
Contribute to design collateral by capturing important system & business behaviours,
Support members of each team during sprints, to ensure the smooth delivery of incremental improvements,
Build resilience and responsiveness in the organisation by being open and honest about risks and challenges and the actions required to address any unexpected developments,
Provide appropriately detailed analysis of current and planned processes,
Create and amend documentation of current processes, new processes, agreed decisions etc.,
Perform analysis to assist members of the Support Team and developers with troubleshooting, escalation and resolution of issues,
Provide support and guidance to team-members on best practice in adherence to the Agile methodology,
Demonstrate and promote a culture of collaboration within and between teams,
Willing to work diligently on any project-related task assigned by management.
Experience, knowledge and skills:
Experience and sound knowledge of Business Analysis practices and documentation, including performance of detailed analysis and investigation,
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
A critical thinker, with the ability to think laterally,
Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language and vice-versa, to suit the communication-preferences of a variety of stakeholders,
Strong digital Delivery Management knowledge and experience, including delivery of digital solutions/products across the full Project Delivery lifecycle,
Sound experience and knowledge of Jira and Confluence,
Knowledge of a variety of Project Management techniques and delivery-approaches, including managing risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies and measuring benefit-realisation,
Knowledge and experience of working using an Agile methodology (e.g. Scrum),
Excellent stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage with a neuro-diverse range of people to ensure effective delivery,
Demonstrates tact and diplomacy when liaising with stakeholders,
Pragmatic and flexible approach to resolving issues and responding to change,
Works effectively both independently and as part of a team,
Exhibits a strong work ethic and a focussed, diligent and committed attitude to work,
Employs a structured but flexible approach.
