Android OS Software Engineer urgently required for my client, a market leader within the Cyber Defence sector. This is truly a unique opportunity to make your mark within a forward thinking business working with genuine cutting edge technology.

This role can be contractually based in either Guildford, Central London or Gloucester.

You will be responsible for:

Providing 4th Line Customer Support by building a strong understanding of project user equipment and backend services.
Owning and improving the backend services, Including tasks such as researching and updating legacy applications and interfaces.
Providing engineering input and guidance to the technical and project leads.
Engaging with customer security processes by providing input and advice on upgrading issue areas.
Working closely with the Infrastructure Support team
You will have:

Degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent fields, or a combination of education and work experience, with relevant experience.
5+ years of Full Stack engineering experience, ideally with Powershell.
Strong debugging capability, experience with legacy code bases.
Ability to work with a range of technologies such as Powershell, Java Processes, Apache, Bash, JAVA & C++ (desirable)
Knowledge of Linux or Android OS development (desirable)
Familiar with Git, Docker and Atlassian CI/CD tooling (desirable)
Experience with Linux kernel or Android OS development (desirable)The package:
