Application Developer

A growing national Law firm are looking to hire an Applications Developer within their Southampton office. It’s a new role for the firm so is initially an 12 month fixed term contract, however it is likely to extend to a permanent role with the scope to build a new team.

The firm has been created from the merger of two well established national law firms who have previously used differing systems and applications and they need an experienced Applications Developer to design and build the new interface that will enable all of their applications to be linked together, so it will cover design, development and support of new and existing applications. It really is a blank slate of a role, you’ll be able to demonstrate your skills, grow into the role and importantly have the backing and investment from the wider business.

As this is an new role, ideally they are looking for a candidate from a legal development background, who has previously worked with document management / case management systems and legal specific applications. Along with;

* Strong C# .Net skills with MVC experience

* HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Blazor, Asp.Net

* Agile experience

You’ll also need to be comfortable communicating with the business to decipher how they utilise the applications, what their issues are and be able to design and develop solutions that address their day to day issues.

This role can be worked as a hybrid role, ideally with attendance in the office three days a week.
