Avanti Recruitment is working with a rapidly growing company in the professional cloud-based video surveillance market. They offer a cutting-edge platform that allows professional CCTV installers to store footage securely in the cloud, giving their customers remote access from anywhere at any time.
Our client is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join their team at this exciting time of expansion. As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing customer problems by analyzing error logs and reproducing issues. You will be able to work out the root cause of problems, debug the application code and support the Technical Sales Engineers in communicating with customers to find a solution.
You will also be responsible for analyzing the application code, fixing bugs, and rolling out updates to resolve problems. You will work with other developers to ensure that repeat problems are identified and solutions are implemented to prevent future occurrences. Additionally, you will be responsible for building up knowledge base documentation and specifying requirements for improvements to software support tools.
This is a new role in a small but expanding company. As they develop their support capacity, our client requires a high level of flexibility to ensure you give customers the highest level of customer support possible.
To be successful you will need the following experience:
* Clear communication skills
* C / C++
* SQL database
* Networks such as routers, IP, switches etc
