Be-IT are delighted to be partnering with their long-standing client who is a leading provider of financial controls, regulatory reporting and data management software.
Our client is on the lookout for 1st Line Application Support Engineer to join their growing team. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role.

Providing 1st line application support ensuring all requests for support are logged, categorised, and triaged to ensure SLAs are met
Carry out initial investigations and troubleshoot where possible to resolve issues
Escalate incidents to 2nd/3rd line support engineers as required
Ensure ticketing system is up to date and accurate at all times
Participating in proactive maintenance and health checks activity across our customer base
Support the deployment of release and configuration changes following our Change Management procedures
Be part of an out of hours on call rota (24×7)
At least 1 years’ experience gained in a 1st line application support role
Solid experience in logging and triaging support tickets
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Adaptable and a fast learner
Understanding of SLA tracking
Experience in using and updating service desk software
Extra Brownie points for:
Educated to HNC level or equivalent in IT related subject
T-SQL or ANSI-SQL knowledge
Knowledge of Azure, IIS and Window Servers
Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry
The role will be on a hybrid model basis with travel to the Glasgow or Edinburgh offices required 2 days a week – although we are happy to consider fully remote candidates.
