About the role

Reporting to the Applications Manager, the Applications Support Analyst will be responsible for the day to day support of the manufacturing applications estate, running a 24×7 factory.

This role is particularly suited to an individual who enjoys handling multiple pieces of work at any given time, can handle the pressure and has the breadth of knowledge to drive technical innovations alongside the patience to undertake day to day support activities.

What you will do

* Support the variety of complex applications which combine to run a high-tech semiconductor factory

* Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements for enhancements and additions to systems, within the manufacturing IT application landscape

* Introduce and implement new technologies, with particular focus on systems and applications

* Produce regular project status reporting and feedback

* Manage the rollout of application and database updates

* Collaborate with outsourced partners in making sure applications and systems are kept up to date

* Drive innovations in Business Intelligence and Big Data

* Understand the data requirements of the business and introduce new and interesting ways of providing that to management

What you will need

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training in the computer systems engineering field

* Experience in scoping, defining, developing and implementing applications

* Project Management Experience

* In depth understanding of Unix/Linux, including Shell Scripting (csh, ksh, Bash)

* High degree of SQL knowledge

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach

* Manufacturing Execution System experience would be a definite bonus
