TEC Partners are currently working with an IT Support and Consultancy company looking for an Assistant Field Engineer to join our team in St Ives, Cambridge. As an Assistant Field Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting our Infrastructure Engineer in delivering top-notch IT support services to their clients.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Infrastructure Engineer in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.

Provide technical support to clients both on-site and remotely.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.

Conduct regular system and network checks to ensure optimal performance.

Collaborate with the Infrastructure Engineer to develop and implement IT policies and procedures.

Assist in project delivery, including planning, implementation, and testing.

Keep up-to-date with new technology developments and industry trends.

Requirements:

A degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.

1-2 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a field engineer or technical support role.

Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networks, and databases.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A valid driving license.

Please not this role requires frequent travel and overnight stays across the country.
