Job Description

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

Provide technical knowledge of Automation building blocks, their requirements, dependencies and integration with other tools
Attend service design workshops to align expectations
Works in a team to plan, design, and implement the Automations
Work with the Stream LeadsArchitects to develop Operational Acceptance Criteria and attain sign off for automation deployments
Complete hand over to BAU of support documentation for support models
Responsible for creation and maintenance of local documentation in addition to that held globally for the Automation tools
Responsible for providing 3rd line support for Automations
Help build and contribute to operational work instructions
Provide continual assessment of automation capabilities for Service Improvements
Works as part of a team within projects, building close working relationships with peers from other areas of the business

Essential skills and qualifications:

Knowledge of service organisation and automation products
Experience of working in a project environment
Experience of designing automation workflows
DevOps/Agile processes (including Continuous integration/Continuous deployment concepts and tools – preferably GitLab)
Demonstrates the ability to quickly attain knowledge and understanding of technical applications
Automation frameworks and tools preferably Red Hat Ansible Automation
VMware expertise – preferably vSphere: managing servers, networks, and operating systems

Desirable skills:

Scripting languages such as Ruby, PowerShell, Python, APISDK Development
Linux and MS Windows in prompt mode, "CLI", text editors, and various SSH clients
Implementing system infrastructure and cloud solutions, including data storage, networking, monitoring, and security
Knowledge of Enterprise Management frameworks and other tools which may be appropriate (Arago, Syntbots, ServiceNow Orchestration, BeatBox, Ansible, vRealise)
