Global financial organisation looking for an Azure Devops Architect to work on a long term project (2+ years), on site in Canary Wharf 2 or 3 times a week.

Role – Azure Devops Architect

Duration – 6 months with likely extension

Rate – £500 p/d (inside IR35 for now)

Location – Remote / Canary Wharf – 2 days per week in a Canary Wharf office

Tasks

Designing, implementing and maintaining our Azure DevOps platform.
Customizing Azure DevOps for in-house teams.
Implementing Azure CI/CD pipelines using the YAML.
Configuring Azure Cloud and support teams using it.
Assisting on designing and developing corporate framework using C#.

Additional Tasks

Designing our desktop applications using C#.
Writing mission critical code for our corporate frameworks.
Assisting us in our transition to the Azure Cloud.
Mentoring junior developers and promoting best practices in software engineering.
Leading code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions with team members.
Following the development teams' programming policy and procedures to maintain common programming practice.
Liaising with the relevant support teams such as other Development team sections, Technical Support, Network and Infrastructure and DBAs whenever Business users experience system problems.
Assessing the impact of data processing loads on SQL and Oracle databases and when appropriate, finding alternative solutions.
