The Opportunity

If you have Linux or Android Internals experience (or even just a personal interest with deep knowledge!) and are looking for a new challenge then Roke may have the project for you. We’re looking for people to develop bespoke and unusual applications for our customers. 

We love our diverse workforce and are looking for developers/engineers with a range of backgrounds/experiences. Whether you have years of professional experience or are a hobbyist with good foundational skills than you’re working to grow then we’d like to hear from you.    

The role will encompass: requirements capture/management, problem solving, design, development, implementation and documentation.

Our Engineers have the opportunity to develop and work across multiple software and platform technologies. So while the initial focus of this recruitment is for Android development, in future you may choose to take map career to one of the many other technology or business domains in which Roke operates.

Why We Want You 

Depending on your level of ability/experience, you will have familiarity, competence or expertise in some or all of these areas:
Software development experience in a related language, such as C++, Java, Kotlin.
Android application training/experience.
A solid grasp of networking fundamentals, ideally with experience of protocol customisation and implementation.
An understanding of Linux or Android internals, ideally with experience of modifying the Android platform.
