Backend Rust Engineer – Digital Simulation Engine
London – Remote, very occasional trips to office, option to be in the office more frequently too
£80,000 – £100,000 + Equity

The successful Backend Rust Engineer will be predominantly working on the engine toolchain, this will cover compiler style work around the conversion of user projects through to execution. This will also include simulation representation, UX, as well as performance work around execution and querying.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and robust backend systems for our simulation engine's toolchain
Contribute to the design and development of new features and functionalities
Work on compiler-style tasks such as programming language definition, parsing, IDE-style features, code-generation, and simulation representation
Convert user projects through to execution
Working on hard problems, designing complex solutions
As an early-stage Backend Rust Engineer, you will have the chance to have a real product impact, they’re actively shaping the product and you will be part of that.

What we are looking for:

Strong experience with the Rust programming language
Experience with gRPC
Docker/Kubernetes experience
Experience with simulation and/or AI technologies
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

The successful Backend Rust Engineer can expect a salary of between £80,000 – £100,000, as well as the following benefits:
