BI Analytics Manager | Flexible Working | Up to 60K

Are you an experienced BI Lead with experience working within the insurance or automotive industry?

My client is looking for a BI Analytics Manager to join them and help to deliver BI solutions across their organisation. This industry-leading organisation has identified Data & BI as a key area of focus to enable them to continue leading the way in the automotive industry in the UK.

The right candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Data Analysts, providing support and development, and will have the opportunity to shape and transform the use of data within the company.

Identify business challenges and opportunities to support key business stakeholders
Work with the Data & BI team to build compelling and action-driving intelligence to deliver actionable and meaningful insights
Develop a solid understanding of processes and associated tools and resources throughout the business
Develop and maintain appropriate documentation (e.g underwriting reports) to support change to processes and business solutions
Contribute to the development of an insight-led culture and mindset across the business
Define quality standards across the team and monitor service levels to ensure the highest standards of delivery

Skills & experience:

Interpret business information from a variety of internal and external sources
Demonstrate evidence of gathering, analysing and documenting business processes
Sound business acumen, commercially and risk aware
Experience of providing strategic advice and commercial, integrated research, insight, data and analytics expertise to senior executives
The ability to liaise, influence, challenge effectively, build relationships and excellent communication skills are essential
Experience building high-performing teams
Project leadership and organisational skills
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required
5+ years of experience in a BI/analyst role preferably within the insurance or automotive industry
Experience using BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, SQL
Data-driven with superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Self-motivated and self-directed with good time management skills
Fast learner – can achieve superuser status on multiple tools quickly
Pro-active, solutions-orientated, and a can-do attitude and ready to go the extra mile when required
