IT Business Analyst

Location: Malton, North Yorkshire OR Grimbsby, North Lincolnshire.

Office based

Are you a Business Analyst looking for your next challenge working for one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers? If the answer to that question is yes, then this could be the role for you!

Principal IT are working with one of the UK’s biggest and more successful food manufacturers on a new and exciting Business Analyst role. The business supplies to retail, foodservice and manufacturing customers across the UK, as well as export customers globally. We have full production chain visibility, and our pork is eaten by millions of consumers every year.

Job Purpose

The role is to scope, manage and support the projects within the Group, which includes ICT and business change projects. These project timelines and objectives will be defined, implemented and reviewed on an on-going basis.

The role provides key support to the Head of IT Business Systems and IT Director, taking responsibility for the delivery of functional changes and business process improvements within the IT team.
The candidate must demonstrate accurate and professional delivery, with accountability for managing the existing relationship with the sites and customers, whilst ensuring the further strategic projects are delivered in line with the business plans.

The role is responsible for supporting the delivery of the IT & business aligned strategy as agreed with the IT Director, to drive down the unit cost and enhance the profitability of the business.

Key Accountabilities

The key route to success in the role will be:
Maintain accountability to ensure successful delivery of projects on time and in budget.
Assist in the resolution of any service interruptions and implementation of appropriate functional solutions as needed to ensure on-going problems are resolved.
Be part of a team rota covering the agreed services to maintain adequate office cover and out of hours cover as needed.
Support the implementation of the companies strategy by evaluating, recommending and implementing key activities to deliver the strategy.
Develop and maintain your expertise in the ICT technologies and business environment to ensure agility to meet the businesses demands.

As a key ambassador for IT within the business, the role involves regular interaction with the customer base across the sites, and thus through active listening enables the development of the IT Service to further support the business.

Skills and experience required

Main asks for the role are:-
• Ability to scope, manage and report on a project – this should include the timeline and objectives will be defined, implemented and reviewed on an on-going basis.
• Take responsibility for the delivery of the change within the project.
• Demonstrate an accurate and professional delivery, with accountability for managing the relationship with IT and the person we are delivering the project too.
• Maintain accountability to ensure successful delivery of projects on time and in budget.
• Assist in the resolution of any project issues to ensure on-going problems are resolved.
• Grow your knowledge on IT and business to ensure it meets the project demands.
• Take responsibility and accountability for your actions to ensure the project standards are met.
• Work in an open and honest manner, with focus on communication to create relationships in IT and with the business.
• Recognise areas for internal improvement and develop plans for implementation.
• Deliver all assigned projects within the agreed budget and meeting or where possible exceeding, target expectations.
