JOB TITLE: Software Business Development Manager
SALARY: £28,000 – £35,000 DOE plus bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join leading regional Software solutions provider, based in Hull as a Business Development Manager. The company has been established for over 20 years and has over 500 customers who are utilising their products on a daily basis.
As well as this, they also have an established team of 32 employees currently which is a variation of IT, Finance, Sales and management in terms of staff. They provide an IT Managed service as well as cloud-based software solutions to customers who are predominantly based in the Yorkshire region albeit they do have a national presence with some clients based in London for example.
They are now looking at expand their team by bringing in a Software Business Development Manager to help grow their customer base further as well as increasing revenue through the development of existing clients.
As the Software Business Development Manager, you will report to The Head of Sales & Marketing and be responsible for;
* Working with Head of Sales and Marketing to develop a clear sales strategy for the Software division.
* Responsible for identifying and engaging with new customers for Reality Solutions Limited.
* Driving outbound activity to increase revenue and sales.
* Converting opportunities brought into the business by Directors and Head of Sales and Marketing.
* Qualifying the viability of inbound opportunities and acting accordingly.
* Constructing quotes/proposals for clients.
* Meeting agreed quarterly revenue targets.
* Acting in accordance with agreed monthly KPI’s.
* Working with the software team to ensure client requests are reasonable and achievable.
* Responsible for positively representing Reality Solutions and events.
* Additional ad hoc duties as required.
To be the successful Software Business Development Manager, you will have;
* Previous experience in a solutions selling business development role, ideally within a software, professional services or manufacturing environment but this is not essential
* B2B sales experience
* A tenacious, can do attitude
* The ability to open, present and close through various sales methods such as over the phone, face to face via video calls
* The ability to pick up technical products and interpret pricing structure including long term contracts
