Business Development Manager – IT Managed Services
Kings Hill
Basic Salary: £35k – £50k DOE + Commission – OTE £70k+
 
Our client is a customer focused Growing MSP based at Kings Hill. They pride themselves in being able to offer technical expertise to be the most customer driven IT partner in the UK.  They are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager ideally from a IT Managed Services with a background and Strong industry knowledge in IT Managed Services including IT Support, Cloud, Backup, Security, Connectivity and VoIP solutions

Duties

Generation of new name business through the intelligent application of direct prospecting and networking techniques
Developing a sustained pipeline of accounts by actively prospecting via cold-calls, marketing lead follow-up, personal relationships, executive introductions and marketing automation introductions to independently close contracts at a close frequency and value to meet or exceed productivity and quota expectations
Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings
Attend onsite and virtual conferences, meetings and industry events
Undertaking networking, email and phone campaigns, face to face meetings and presentations
Placing significant value on all opportunities, ensuring each is personally handled with a sense of importance using appropriate supporting resources in a proficient and timely manner
Accurately capturing and understanding existing and prospective customer requirements, engaging internal and external sales, procurement, provisioning and technical resources and developing a fit for purpose solution with commercial awareness
Maximising revenue and opportunity from new opportunities
Generating accurate and timely quotations/proposals for new clients
Following up on quotations and proposals
Achievement of hard and soft monthly, quarterly and annual targets  
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated sales professional who has the drive and ability to clos new business and exceed sales targets in a business to business environment, with an enthusiastic can-do attitude and a belief that anything can be achieved.
 
Essential skills:

3 years of B2B sales experience selling a variety of Managed Services
Have a proven track record in achieving sales targets and generating new business
Must be sales-focused with the ability to self-manage and create an active pipeline
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently converse with decision makers at all levels
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
Attention to detail and good time management
Have the ability to multi-task and grow within a quickly evolving business environment
Be positive in attitude and communication, with a can-do approach
Be able to demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and have a stable work history
Have an interest in keeping yourself updated with latest services, technologies and market knowledge  
 
This is a new business focussed role with some account management responsibilities. Qualified Leads will be provided but self-lead generation is required. The ideal candidate will be a competent sales person with experience of selling managed services, that is well-presented and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong written and presentation capabilities are required and they should be able to demonstrate a competent level of commercial awareness with previous experience of successful sales.
 
This role will be primarily based at their offices in Kings Hill, onsite meetings and video conferencing as required.
 
A full driving license, your own transportation, and a willingness to travel are prerequisites
