BusinessObjects Platform Administrator/ BusinessObjects Lead
Business Objects Subject Matter Expert / Lead. A global claims management firm need a BusinessObjects Platform Administrator / Technical Support Engineer to join the team. This is a fantastic UK based opportunity. As an SAP BusinessObjects Platform SME/lead/analyst you will support the company's growing BO landscape across Europe and Asia. You will be expected to take ownership of the SAP BusinessObjects platforms and will be primarily responsible for BAU support of the platforms, ensuring that service level agreements are being met and technical IT issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
The BusinessObjects Platform Administrator / Lead will be responsible for engaging regularly with other business area's including operations, Infrastructure, security and third party suppliers to ensure technical escalations and issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
The BusinessObjects Platform Administrator/Technical Support Engineer will also evaluate current technology and recommend tools/processes for improving availability, reliability, stability and work efficiencies across the platform.
Key BusinessObjects Platform Administrator/Technical Support Engineer accountabilities –
Support the BusinessObjects platforms across the shared global landscape (Asia, Europe, UK)
Carry out user access administration and security design.
Setup and implement any new BusinessObjects platforms to best practice standards.
Carry out platform sizing related activities.
Analysing and understanding of BO technical issues related to server patch upgrade.
Good understanding of related systems, connections and interfaces.
Good technical understanding of BusinessObjects Universe design.
Assist the development team with the transition from unv to unx universe formats.
Good technical understanding of SAP Web Intelligence and SAP Crystal Report.
Manage and maintain the BusinessObjects version management solution for both Universe development team and report developers.
Work closely with business divisions to identify on-going systems enhancements and to fully realise the potential of the application to improve business performance.
Provide technical expertise and support for the implementation of BusinessObjects BI Mobile solution.
Provide 2nd and 3rd line support to assigned incidents. This may include out of hours working
Manage the BusinessObjects licensing and support relationships with SAP.
The BusinessObjects Platform Administrator/ BusinessObjects Lead will have/will be:
You will be a Subject Matter Expert within the SAP BusinessObjects BI4.2 and XI3.1 Platforms.
You will have demonstrable experience in managing the administration of BusinessObjects systems.
Experience in monitoring and alerting the BI platform for stability, data connectivity and relevant interfaces.
Can apply SAP best practice to the BusinessObjects landscapes and platforms.
Has experience in managing BusinessObjects user security and access maintenance.
Has experience managing BusinessObjects patching and upgrades.
Experience in working in the following areas within SAP BusinessObjects/MI.
Excellent communication skills and be a team player
