A Chief Solution Architect with strong software development experience is needed urgently within this market-leading solutions and services business as they embark on building a new set of platforms, technologies and tools to support a business-critical Transformation programme. Specific software development expertise in architecting data platforms using NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB), Microservices (C#, .Net) architecture, API’s and Agile methods will be required.

Chief Solution Architect Role and responsibilities:

– Work with key stakeholders to define and implement an appropriate architectural vision for future microservices data platform-based software development

– Create high-level data-centric solutions and technology-based designs on an Azure platform

– Contribute to the selection of relevant Azure technologies and architecture artefacts (standards, design patterns etc)

– Lead the architectural function and support the Software Development function through close collaboration on all design and delivery areas

– Ensure that all solutions meet business, information, application and technology needs

Chief Solution Architect Skills and Experience:

– Significant experience in a Lead/ Chief Solutions Architect role, designing Azure cloud-based solutions

– Specific experience of solution development and architecture for Azure-based platforms

– Detailed knowledge of NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB), Elastic/ OpenSearch, Microservices and Rest API’s

– Substantial experience of leading an architectural team working with Agile principles, processes and practices

– Knowledge of data analytics technologies, Azure data pipelines and ETL/ Integration would be a distinct advantage

This is a senior role which will require the ability to communicate complex architectural plans and strategies to a wide variety of audiences so your communications skills must be strong. The ability to oversee delivery, inspire your colleagues/ peers and manage solution development with clear priorities will also be needed.
