Job Description:

The company is going to be scaling up a lot in the near future, so you have a chance to develop yourself professionally in the direction you want – there will be plenty of room to take ownership and specialize. They've been working in the cloud (AWS) and with microservices architecture from the beginning, with the sole purpose of being able to scale up – now is the time to join the team and grow together with them.

This role is a full-time role, and the selected person will be employed by them, located in Helsinki, with possibility to work remotely within Finland.

DevOps at this company is all about supporting the development team. As a part of the two-person DevOps team you look after the reliability of the service, infrastructure and own their CI/CD pipeline. You will also have a central role of defining their DevOps practices for the future.

Their existing DevOps Engineer has been with the company for nearly 3 years and is actively involved in the hiring process. He currently runs a stable DevOps environment where everything works smoothly and as a DevOps Engineer at this company your job as our new DevOps star would be to together with an existing DevOps engineer to improve it even further. The seniority level for this role is flexible: You can either join us as a junior, get support and coaching from the Existing DevOps Engineer and grow to an experienced expert with us, or you can join us as an already experienced professional with a lot of skills and competence to share and develop yourself further.

Role & Responsibilities:

Junior (Heavily on the cloud infrastructure side) no automation experience so they would need to learn CI/CD, IaC, Deployment so they could contribute. Candidates do need basic infrastructure knowledge.
If they have good understanding of the infrastructure behind DevOps (come from software development) they could learn quickly
Eventually they will take ownership of Jaime's tasks

Highly available infrastructure (AWS Lambda, S3, ELB, EC2)
Operations and observability
Configuration management
