Geollect is seeking a brilliant Cloud Engineer to play an integral role in developing, improving, and owning our technology and services. You will ensure our existing services, hosted on AWS, remain performant and secure, as well as having an influential role in the development of future projects. 
You will work closely with the rest of the Data Science and Development teams as together we build world leading solutions.
If you’re talented with terraform, dazzling at DevOps, and adept with AWS cloud technologies you’re encouraged to reach out, especially if you’re wanting to have fun whilst doing it!  An interest in geospatial technologies would be especially welcome.
We’re looking for you to:

Support development and design of AWS infrastructure
Progress our suite of backend/database services
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins / AWS Code Pipeline
Be familiar with ETL (extract, transform, load) applications and database design and management
Be able to propose new solutions and continue to develop/maintain current ones
Manage infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform and AWS SAM) 

You should know some of the below: 

AWS tools & technologies (ECS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, IAM, Networking, S3)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
DevOps practises & software (e.g., using Jenkins)
Developing APIs, preferably in Flask with SQLAlchemy
Database experience (Postgres)
Python3, with familiarity with pandas/spark library
Experience with containerization tools (Docker)
Ability to design and architect solutions with Python and AWS
Help team members to understand best software practices and share skills
Experience working with and applying Agile methodologies
Big Data experience, architecting and maintaining big data pipelines, understanding of best practices around big data
