Cloud Infrastructure Principal

Salary: £55,000- £65,000

Environment: Hybrid (1-2 days in office)

Location: Bournemouth, Croydon or Guildford

A market leading insurance and investment company are searching for a well communicated, experience cloud professional to join their growing department. You will be responsible for overseeing two squads within the infrastructure department. This role is both hands on and hands off and the perfect candidate will be an excellent communicator and have experience managing all levels of internal and external stakeholders within an infrastructure (Azure cloud) environment.

Key responsibilities:

Design, implement and oversee the IT infrastructure hardware and software components in compliance with the architecture road map and based on feasibility checks
creating low level design documentation
Oversee the squads within an agile & ITIL environment
Ensure compliance and quality of the respective specifications and guidelines of the company and legislation (e.g. security, service definitions)
Maintain and optimise the relevant system, ensure performance and availability and provide release- and patch management
Manage all levels of stakeholders both internally and externallyKey skills required:

Knowledge of common IT process landscape, management and standards
Experienced in IT architecture management and IT security tools
ITIL certification required
Possessing project and IT service management skills, analytically thinking, methodological and conceptual skills
Relevant cloud experience: Azure, AWS or similar
Cloud certifications or similar
ITIL qualification or similar Desired experience:

Terraform or similar knowledge/hands on experience
Infrastructure as code experience (devops background)
