The Opportunity

The Commerical Finance Manager will have a high level of commercial knowledge, and experience throughout the bid and tender process. You’ll be working across teams on financial modelling, profit and margin drivers, and transitioning winning business through to commercial contract negotiation and sign off. You’ll be seeking an influential role with the ability to make a real difference in our future growth and profitability.

You will manage a wide range of stakeholders, shaping relationships in line with Block’s Strategy, to support sustainable future growth and profitability.

Role Responsibilities

* Working with the technical & sales teams around costings and support for tender process, improving profitability,

* Financial modelling and pricing for new Services and Products.

* Commercial contract engagement with customers, these are multi -year and multi million pound in value.

* Monitoring contract performance against deliverables

* Developing contract and project profitability reporting.

* Develop a reporting methodology using appropriate dashboarding.

* Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen company software (SAP) internal controls.

* Assist the senior leadership team in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.

* Review, negotiate and provide guidance on NDAs, and other commercial agreements

* Ability to apply financial expertise and business acumen to supporting CFO in ad-hoc requests when required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

* Demonstrable hands-on commercial deal and contract experience

* Development of pricing and commercial models (Excel)

* Demonstrable ability to manage, review and improve day to day operations and processes

* Highly commercial and analytical

* Expert in Microsoft office tools, especially Excel.

* Degree and or Accountancy qualification.

* Diligent, conscientious, and considered, able to make the right decisions
