Job Description

Job Title: Consultant (Migration Project Manager)
Location: Hybrid working, remote with flexibility to work from customer sites as and when required
Role:
PACE is leading the delivery of a high-profile project which sees a large scale data migration to the customers new cloud based environment. It is therefore critical that the right person is in place to ensure PACE’s project management services are delivered successfully, whilst supporting the broader team in navigating a highly complex and pressurised environment. As well as a background in delivering digital transformation change, the successful individual displays consulting gravitas when engaging with customers and their suppliers, partners, colleagues and other stakeholders.
As a project management professional who has a strong consultancy mindset, your role will be to ensure that our customer receives the right project management delivery required to realise amplified benefits, beyond their identified needs.
Key Outcomes:
* Positive positioning of PACE to customers, partners and other stakeholders
* PACE is seen as experts in the field of Project Management
* A PACE customer case study is produced from the engagement
* Team resource schedule and forecast maintained and consultant utilisation optimised
The successful Consultant (Migration Project Manager) will be able to demonstrate:
* Prior experience of scaled cloud migration Data Centre exit programmes
* Knowledge of tools used for migrating applications to the cloud (Azure migrate) from existing Data Centres
* Understand and recommend utilisation of cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS and SaaS) based on business requirements to simplify business application architecture and operating models.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Active Directory
* A wide degree of creativity and technical knowledge and understanding of current IT inclusive of Local and Wide Area Network principles and associated security
* Demonstrated experience of influencing key stakeholders across the organisation
* Demonstrable experience in a comparable role in a large, complex and matrix environment
* Demonstrable experience of working with and managing multiple third-party suppliers
* Commitment and determination – be highly driven, flexible and resilient
* Excellent engagement skills (including interviewing, facilitating, mediating and presenting) are essential
* Experience of building business cases (including identifying and categorising costs and benefits and identifying and shortlisting options for business change) is essential
* Excellent stakeholder management and analysis skills
* Solid, practical understanding of project management techniques, methods and tools is desirable
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio is essential
* Experience of using requirements management tools and systems is beneficial
* Professionally recognised qualifications in relation to Project Management
* Educated to a degree standard or equivalent
