Job Description
Spectrum IT's international Client are looking to hire IT Support Contractors who are keen to develop a career within IT Support. This is an initial 6 month contract role highly suited to IT Graduates or Junior IT Support Engineers who are both eager to learn and expand their experience while working within an international business. With an office based in Fareham, you will work 3 days on site per week and be part of the thriving IT Service Desk team. This role is via umbrella engagement only and has scope to further extend after the initial contract.
As a member of the Contract IT 1st Line Support team customer service and communication will be key. You will be the first point of call for IT support issues and triage problems via phone. Where possible you will provide 1st time fixes or escalate to the wider support team (2nd/3rd line).
Key Roles & Responsibilities
To be the first point of contact for IT support queries & issues
To deliver an exceptional level of customer service via phone and email and provide 1st time resolutions for customer issues where possible
Provide technical troubleshooting support for desktop software and hardware technologies
Proactive monitoring of systems and servers
Daily systems monitoring and administrative operational processes
Escalating support tickets through Service NOW to the 2nd Line team and working directly with third party suppliers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be paramount
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
IT Support experience
Excellent communication skills
Take pride in providing a high level of customer service
Active Directory
Windows 7-10
Office 365
Ability to schedule own workload prioritising to meet the business needs
