Job Description

Cyber Security Architect – Up to £90k (plus benefits) – Hybrid (Leeds)

My client is a global business, who are looking to bring in a Cyber Security Architect to their team on a permanent basis.

You will be working to bridge the gap between the Technical Security & Security Architecture disciplines while acting as a security Subject Matter Expert, while engaging with all levels of leadership and technical staff.

Your role will be to ensure the security of the environment, people and business by proactively managing risks on both a global and regional scale.

This role will be hybrid working, for the Leeds office. You must be willing to travel to office 1-2 times a month.

The role and responsibilities:

* Lead architectural reviews of implementations against best practice, relevant threats and acceptable risks

* Define and implement security strategies and roadmaps (for both design and remediation activities)

* Collaborate across strategy, transformation, and digital engineering parts of the business to develop and manage the implementation of secure architectures

* Provide support to building out the Security Capability, helping to grow a wider community and assist in keeping the teams up to date on vendor platform changes, new architectural approaches and best practice

* Setup architecture examples and proof of concepts on vendor platforms to illustrate best practice

Key skills and experience:

* Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance and reliability

* 5+ years in Security in solutions or enterprise architecture.

* Solid understanding of security technologies.

* Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions

* Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
