Cyber Security Engineer | Up to £80k | Fully Remote | Games Studio

As a Security Engineer, you will collaborate closely with IT Product management, Cybersecurity team, and other internal stakeholders.
 
Reporting to the Head of Security, you will work closely with IT engineering and outsourced Security teams to develop and maintain the necessary services to enhance security across all relevant areas. Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing and preserving security standards and processes to support security activities.

Key Duties Include:

Help projects discover, assess, and recommend appropriate countermeasures for risks.
Uphold and enhance AWS's security stance (best practices, hardening etc).
To develop security standards and solutions in close cooperation with the security team, technology managers, and projects team.
Set the security criteria, take part in the evaluation and selection of products, and run or organise POCs.
Through the study, assessment, development, and evaluation of security solutions and architectures, offer your experience in cyber security.
Automate procedures, data, and security measures to improve metrics and operational support.
Maintain information security rules and standards by making a contribution.
Create, keep up with, and distribute security best practises.
Gathering feedback from stakeholders, uncover neglected security issues and explore potential for collaboration.
Become the expert to turn to in a certain security domain.
Ability to effectively manage and mentor other team members while collaborating successfully as part of a team. 
 
Requirements:

A track record of success in a similar function in business.
Demonstrated expertise in protecting such setups and using AWS.
Strong familiarity with, experience with, and expertise in safeguarding Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
Knowledge of network security and OS hardening.
Any knowledge with automation tools is advantageous (Terraform, puppet).
Good knowledge of technology and methods for managing vulnerabilities and patches.
maximising the advantages and return on investments of security systems through configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
You are familiar with how different SIEMs and log aggregators operate because you have experience with them. Familiarity with the ELK Stack would be advantageous.
Establishing and putting into practise infrastructure patching standards and timelines.
The ideal applicant will have knowledge of and expertise using security frameworks like the CIS, NIST CSF, and others.
Strong command of a popular scripting language (such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.), as well as the assurance to troubleshoot issues and modify scripts to meet changing needs. 
Desirable Requirements:

Knowledge of agile methodologies, familiarity with kanban, or participation in cross-functional teams. SharePoint, Slack, and Jira experience would be advantageous.
Background in security operations that can be proven.
Knowledge of SOAR technology and threat intelligence
