    Job Description

    Croydon Council are looking for a Data Centre & Hosting Engineer.

    This is a permanent role.

    Design, implementation, maintenance, and problem resolution of technical solutions for business and customer led systems together with the responsibility to contribute to the ICT strategy and holding people to account against it as a standard.

    The Technology and Architecture team will be responsible for requirements definition, technical solutions, and designs. It will act as the Technical Design Authority and own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap.

    The Data Centre and Hosting Engineer will be responsible for

    low-level design, implementation, configuration, and monitoring and maintenance of Croydon's on-premises IT infrastructure. They will be responsible for the hands-on implementation of designed solutions, and maintenance and incident resolution for new and existing solutions. They will also be the key technical contact between suppliers, they will assist service operations, IT security and other teams requiring low level technical input and data collection or analysis
