Data Consultant – SQL / WPS / SAS

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Data professional with hands on coding skills in either SQL, WPS or SAS to join the Financial Crime team of a leading financial services brand.

This exciting role will see you assist the team in their quest to detect, prevent and disrupt financial crime.  You will get to use your skills to carry out creative data analysis, robust reporting, formulation of screening rules and configurations, testing and implementation. 

The team cover a global customer base and you will be tasked with ensuring that current services for analysing data and screening are executed daily, assisting in the timely resolution of all service-related issues.  You will provide expert technical support for onboarding services and retuning exercises delivering an excellent customer experience in line with department service standards.

A background in Financial Crime in areas such as Sanctions or Anti Money Laundering screening would be highly advantageous but is not essential and you will get training and development in this area as well as the chance to undertake ICA Certifications. 

To be considered you must have:

Strong hands-on coding skills in either SQL, WPS or SAS
Advanced skills in Excel
Strong data analysis experience with the ability to consume data, spot errors and investigate root causes
Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
Good eye for detail
This is a hybrid role with a lot of scope to work remotely from home but you will be expected to visit the offices in Swindon once a week (although this is not a strict rule and there is flexibility around this).  If you prefer you can even choose to be fully office based. On top of this, there is also flexibility on working hours so you can manage your work around family/personal commitments.
