Job Description

Data Development Consultant / systems Administrator – Leeds (Hybrid Working) – Permanent Opportunity

Our client has an opportunity for a Data Development Consultant to join a small team who manage, co-ordinate and deliver internal digital data transformation within the Operating Unit. Through liaising with teams across all management levels, systems are innovated / delivered to support business processes whilst also satisfying both external and internal audits. Training and support is a key aspect of the teams role as this often highlights areas requiring upgrade/improvements.

Role
As a Data Development Consultant you will be part of a small team helping with design, rollout and support of internal data systems and processes. Reporting to the Data Development Manager:
• Assisting, coordinating and helping to deliver internal data transformation, innovation and delivery
• Remit to review, coordinate and assist with the delivery of system/innovation development at how deliver our internal services throughout all aspects of our support services
• Links to all business units at appropriate level and leadership within the group business services
• Links to IT team as required to deliver and agree approaches
• Assist with application and business efficiencies development, including application and process creation, rollout and training as required
• Manage third party/other resources which may be required for the above.

Key Responsibilities
• Help refine and continually improve our platform to allow enhancements, developments and deployment /onboarding for new staff
• Deploy and support rollout of our products as part of a small UK team
• Proactive monitoring and support
• Maintain documentation on process standards and procedures around server and database setups
• Be part of a professional support service team
• Develop a working knowledge of the core business to ensure the appropriate level of support is provided to business
• Proactively resolve incidents
• Troubleshoot, escalate and respond as appropriate to product support requests
• Provide technical support
• Contribute to a support knowledge base, FAQ’s, workarounds, known issues
• Communicate effectively with staff to enhance the service and resolve customer issues

Experience / Knowledge Required
You should have experience in some of the following
• Database Server Concepts (FileMaker, SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Cloud SQL, etc)
• Database Visualisation (e.g. Power Bi, etc)
• Familiar with integrating solutions by using their API, web service or a workflow automation platform
• Knowledge of other coding or low code environments is certainly a plus
• Software Support systems/processes

Preferred Experience:
• Business Systems Administration: 1 year (preferred)

And will demonstrate:
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Incident and Problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
