About the role:
They are now looking for a Data Engineer with SQL and Azure experience to join their accomplished team.
This role pays up to £65K and offers flexible hybrid working (office in London), plus great benefits like bonuses and learning and development opportunities!
About the Team:
Working with the Data Engineering Lead, the UK Reporting Manager and the wider Business Insight team, you will play a crucial role in creating and delivering a robust strategy to establish GSK’s data assets within the Azure cloud platform.
You will advise on suitability, strengths, and weaknesses of data for various business purposes and will use this knowledge to build robust data pipelines to transform data for use by the Reporting and Data Science teams.
What you will be doing:
* Using your data expertise to advise various teams within GSK to meet business objectives
* Ingesting new data sources (either developing local pipelines or liaising with Global team)
* Create Azure Data Factory pipelines and Databricks notebooks to manipulate and transform data in Azure Data Lake Storage
* Work with Power BI report developers to understand requirements and build appropriate resources in Azure Databricks

Requirements:
* Ability to write advanced SQL queries
* Strong Python coding skills
* Experience in Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory
* Solid understanding of relational database design principles
