Role: Data Scientist

Location: Manchester

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our client's growing team. The successful candidate will be working with clients in the retail and eCommerce industries, building and deploying machine learning solutions to help forecast future sales, as well as provide recommendations to improve profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with clients to understand their data needs and build data-driven solutions to address them.
Develop predictive models and algorithms to forecast future sales and identify key drivers of business performance.
Analyse large data sets using statistical tools and techniques to uncover insights and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to identify areas where data science can drive business value.
Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Stay up to date with the latest developments in data science and machine learning, and proactively apply them to our client's business problems.

Requirements:

3+ years' experience in a data science or machine learning role
Strong programming skills in Python, R or a similar language.
Solid understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms and data visualisation techniques.
Experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience working in the retail or eCommerce industries is a plus.
