Database Developer (DBA)
Hybrid working

I am happy to present to you a fantastic opportunity with one of my Global market leading clients, who have asked me to help recruit for the expansion of their Data Development/ DBA team. This global powerhouse has grown from strength to strength charging the way as one of the most innovative and courageous in the industry.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with expectation being you could attend the Midlands office

The Role:

To manage the development, maintenance and support of the application databases, supporting existing committed services and new project change. To deliver a robust and performant database solution with the MySQL Capability, meeting the requirements of both the existing business and future Appian projects.

Key duties as the Database Developer are:

Responsibility for ensuring the current solution data set within MySQL is optimal, that the database structure is reviewed and improvements are applied as and when necessary.
Be an active member of the development team to develop, create and update existing database objects to support the onward development of the applications.
Owning and implement ongoing design strategy of new databases to support new business
Create and Maintain required business data dictionaries
Interfacing with the exiting BI team to ensure that both solutions support each other.

Key Requirements/ Experience as the Data Developer are:

Expert in MariaDB or similar database technologies
Experience with complex MySQL
Experience with working with SAAS solutions
Have a comprehensive knowledge of database techniques and be able to manage the delivery of database artifacts.
Knowledge and capability of Agile tools and delivery.
