The Role:

To manage the development, maintenance and support of the MyTechnology Appian application databases, supporting existing committed services and new project change. To deliver a robust and performant database solution with the Appian MySQL Capability, meeting the requirements of both the existing business and future Appian projects.

Responsibilities:

Responsibility for ensuring the current solution data set within MySQL is optimal, that the database structure is reviewed and improvements are applied as and when necessary.
Be an active member of the Appian practise, working with the Appian development team to develop, create and update existing database objects to support the onward development of the applications.
Owning and implement ongoing design strategy of new databases to support new business
Create and maintain required business data dictionaries
Interfacing with the exiting BI team to ensure that both solutions support each other.
Demonstrating value of the service against best practise database design
Lead R&D of new techniques to improve current and new applications
Provide leadership in the delivery of Appian services to our customer's ensuring delivery is aligned to business objects and strategic direction. Requirements:

Experience with complex MySQL
Experience with working with SAAS solutions
Have a comprehensive knowledge of database techniques and be able to manage the delivery of database artifacts.
Knowledge and capability of Agile tools and delivery.
Be a skilful communicator with excellent ability to build relationships at all levels and communicate well within a technical team.
Demonstrates the ambition to achieve goals/objectives and the discipline, organisation and perseverance to deliver.
Able to successfully work across multiple projects.
Knowledge and experience of change implementation in a complex environment.
Experience of working in a fast pace, dynamic and complex environment.
