Database developer

Mainstay is seeking an experienced MySQL Database Developer to join a leading organization that is keen to expand its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MySQL database development, including database design, optimization, and maintenance. The ideal Database developer should also have experience working in a team environment, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities of a Database developer:

* Design and implement efficient MySQL database schemas and queries.

* Develop, test and maintain MySQL databases to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.

* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues.

* Optimize database performance through query optimization, indexing, and other database tuning techniques.

* Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and database schema diagrams.

* Perform regular backups and recovery operations to ensure data availability and integrity.

* Troubleshoot and debug database-related issues.

The ideal database developer will have:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

* At least 3 years of experience in MySQL database development.

* Strong knowledge of database design, development, and optimization.

* Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries.

* Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

* Experience with database administration and backup and recovery operations.

* Experience with data modeling and schema design.

* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
