Concept Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Deskside Support Engineer commutable to Fulbourn, Cambridge.
The purpose of this role is to provide on-site technical support for the End User Technology environment involving desktop computing and corporate IT services.
£160 – £170 per day payable via umbrella company (InsideIR35)
4 Weeks initial contract
Potential to go perm/Contract extension
Monday to Friday
8am – 4pm
Site based roleThe role
Providing support for hardware and software issues on IT equipment, including but not limited to Desktop, Laptops, Mobile devices, and peripherals.
PXE boot staging process.
HP Desktop & Laptop hardware scopes.
SSD HD replacement
SCCM SW deployment issues (front end).
Hand and eyes experiences for MFP, Standalone, Networked Printers & Scanners.
Smartphones & Portable Devices experiences for SIM configuration, how-to questions, Hand on eyes software issues (IOS, Android, and Windows).
Standard and nonstandard HW Devices (peripherals like monitors, label printers, etc.)The candidate
Ability to pass a BPSS Check
Experience with ITIL
At least 2 years' experience working on installation and configuration of desktops, laptops, and printers
Knowledge of Software related issues (Standard and Non-Standard)
familiarity with Dell and Microsoft products with experience in component replacement
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent Time management and Organisational skills.
A good theoretical and practical approach to diagnosing problems.
Ability to work independently and in a small team on a wide range of products.
Experience with ticket management such as Service Now
Customer support skills
Good all-round understanding of hardware maintenance/break-fix
This contract has been deemed an inside IR35 role, therefore you will need to be paid via umbrella company. The above rates are the umbrella company rates subject to weekly fee and deductions.
