Job Description
Digital Site Reliability Engineer (SRE/DevOps) Lead
My client is looking for a Digital Site Reliability Engineer (SRE/DevOps) Lead to join an energetic team in the public sector.
If you do not have active SC Clearance, your application will not be considered for this role.
Public sector experience is preferred.
Key skills:
Essential – Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, Gitlab CI/CD, AWS or Azure managed services, Monitoring services (Cloudwatch/Prometheus/Azure Monitor), Containers.
Desirable – Kubernetes, System administration (RHEL, Windows Server, etc), Network configuration (DNS, routing, load balancing, etc).
Be able to lead the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk.
Be able to liaise with business and IT partners on release scheduling and communication of progress. Conducts post release reviews.
Be able to ensure release processes and procedures are applied and that releases can be rolled back as needed. The successful candidate identifies, evaluates and manages the adoption of appropriate release and deployment tools, techniques and processes (including automation).
Programming & Build – Collaborates with others when necessary to review specifications and uses these agreed standards and tools to design, code, test, correct and document programmes or scripts of medium to high complexity, using the right standards and tools.
Offering a 6 month contract, on a day rate between (Apply online only) (inside IR35) with hybrid work (2-3 days p/w on-site, dependent on your choice between Blackpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds), this is an opportunity worthy of your consideration.
