Job Description
We have a current opportunity for a Electrical Design Engineer on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Romford. For further information about this position please apply.
We are looking for an Electrical Designer the Romford design team.
The projects will be predominantly fast track fit out with all the pressures that brings so you would need experience of producing full electrical designs for those types of projects from tender to completion.
Generally duties would be covering the following but not limited to
Ability to understand specifications and drawings (structural/architects/specialist) to produce electrical designs from preliminary costing to full working/construction issue drawings.
Needs to have an understanding of site working/engineering solutions.
Ability to work on your own initiative and manage small to medium sized projects including liaising with commercial department, mechanical designers, CAD operatives, project managers and specialist suppliers.
Produce and work to a design deliverables schedule in accordance with the project programme.
Utilise design programmes such as Hevacomp and Dialux.
Basic working knowledge of Autocad would be an advantage.
Attend design meetings as required.
Carry out site visits/surveys as required.
Load and Maximum demand assessments.
LV distribution and final circuit distribution c/w cable calculations utilising Hevacomp.
Lighting design complete with calculations using Dialux.
Supplies to Mechanical equipment.
Lighting control systems.
Anything else not listed that is required to produce a full 'working' design (Not concept).
This is a permanent position based in the Romford office but the individual would need to be willing to travel to London on a regular basis for surveys, meetings and site visits etc.
I am ideally looking for an Electrical Design Engineer from a contractor background!
