Salary: Up to £60,000 dependent on experience + bonus + benefits

The opportunity:
An opportunity has arisen in the MBDA Procurement and Supply Chain Directorate for a dynamic professional to coordinate procurement activities with Mechanical Engineering. You will be working together to build an understanding of the projects needs and business challenges for both new and future systems.
You will organise the market survey with the Procurement and Engineering teams to detect technological, competitive and economic innovation and coordinate the activities to source suppliers and mitigate risks for new technology/product requirements
Support Category managers to develop the procurement category strategies and suppliers policy to fit engineering requirements and will ensure they are known and applied by projects.
Ensure a proactive response to the upcoming development needs in the most effective way
Provide support to Engineering projects about Supplier capability, Price, lead time, supply chain risks and opportunities across the various procurement categories.
You will influence the best ways of working within procurementWhat we're looking for from you:
Ideally you are a Procurement professional with experience in the Mechanical Domain and a good understanding of technologies or you are an experienced Mechanical Engineer with prior experience of working with a procurement function and with suppliers
Ideally you have experience of the Defence or Aerospace industry
You can work with autonomy in a changing environment with non mature needs and ensure an appropriate reporting and communication with your customers.
You are a self-motivated, curious and a very open communicator who really enjoys joining the dots and making a differenceWhat to expect:
