Job Description

Field Service / Support Engineers

Key Skills: Windows Desktop, MS Software, Hardware, Laptop, PC, Printer, Troubleshooting, Excellent Communication skills, Driving License and Car.

The role will be split approx 70% office and 30% at client sites throughout the South-East and UK including Central London.

You must have full UK driving license and a car. This is great opportunity to build a varied career working for a dynamic environment.

My highly successful IT client seeks Field Service / Support Engineer with good Windows desktop / laptop and peripheral skills to perform variety of roles across the south east and UK.

You will have skills in setting up IT hardware, basic PC / Printer configuration, Troubleshooting Good Communication skills (verbal and written) Able to work alone or in team. Use initiative Follow process and procedures.

These exciting roles will enable you to develop your career with a mixture of formal and on the job training.

You will have a mixture of the following skills as your daily responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Hands on desktop and server hardware experience

* Build

* Troubleshooting

* OS Installation / Config

* Hardware imaging – both deployment and creation

Rollout/Desktop deployment

* Physical deployment in larger scale experience corporate environment

* Build prep / admin work around these type of projects

* Desk moves

Basic network configuration skills

* An understanding of IP addressing

* Basic Router / Switch config

* Understanding of DNS, DHCP

Helpdesk Experience

* 1st / 2nd line

* Ticket system experience (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc)

* Server administration skills – Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policies, etc

* Windows desktop and server OS support / troubleshooting

* Microsoft Office Suite support/troubleshooting

* VPN support / troubleshooting

Server Rack and Stack

* Basic data centre experience – racking and cabling servers/network infrastructure kit

The role will be split approx 70% office and 30% at client sites throughout the South-East and UK including Central London.
