The Recruitment Co are currently hiring a permanent First Line Technical Support Specialist for their client based in Longforgan, Dundee.
Due to location, only candidates with their own transportation will be considered for this role.
Pay rate: £22,400 per annum rising to £22,900 after probationary period
Shifts: 40 hours per week – 08.00-17.00 / 11.00-20.00 (late shifts are 1 week in 4) – 1 weekend in 4 (weekends are paid at an overtime rate)
Provide first line technical systems support to customer base via telephone, teams chat, email and online tickets.
Assist in the project management of periodic system upgrades.
Provide information and guidance to station personnel in the proper support and maintenance of equipment.
Customer training of POS and back-office systems.
Log and update work done for internal and external customers.
Maintain and update records and databases.
Acquire and apply new knowledge and skills necessary to support all systems supplied/managed by the company.
What we are looking for:
Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work to tight deadlines with a flexible and customer focused approach.
Intermediate level of expertise in PC hardware and repairs.
Understanding and use of Windows Operating System, Windows Office products and Communications software.
Experience and knowledge of a retail environment.
Demonstrate ability to quickly learn using new software and technologies.
Ability to work without supervision.
