Summary

Working for a globally recognised brand, you be responsible for the front-end development of the Company’s websites and customer facing digital interfaces.

As the internal resource, you will be expected to quickly develop a full understanding of the current tech stack and be able to deliver, advise and innovate on the future customer facing digital interfaces.

This role will be office based however remote working may be offered for the right candidate.

General duties to include:

* Through interaction with the Digital partner, you will add value and expertise to the design and front-end build phases of all the customer facing digital projects

* Use HTML, CSS and JS to build responsive web-based interfaces

* Develop scalable, flexible and reusable components

* Ensure technical feasibility of functional specifications

* Thoroughly test your work before delivery to the QA team

* Provide regular progress reports, raising any issues as soon as they arise

* Estimate work, giving timescales and highlighting any identified risks

* Provide input during project and team meetings

* Participate in code reviews

* Working in collaboration with other teams across the business including Creatives, Brand Teams, Project Managers and Developers

* Create the level of polish and interaction that brings a design to life and makes a user experience great

* Keep up to date with emerging technologies

* Supports the development and completion of test plans

Key Skills and Experience:

* A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Front-end developer (Agency experience desirable)

* An online portfolio of demonstrable web-based interfaces

* Experience in delivering headless ecommerce front-ends

* Solid experience writing clean, semantic HTML

* Experience working in a PHP environment

* Strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies such as React, Angular or Vue.js

* Solid experience in writing modular and maintainable JavaScript (ES6)

* Demonstrable experience of working with web services and APIs

* Ability to debug and resolve cross-browser/ platform issues

* Solid technical background with an ability to address accessibility and compatibility issues

* Strong communication skills

* Experience with Github or other source control software
