Role Overview
Our client, an IBM Platinum partner, provides market leading, Europe wide consultancy and support services for IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and IBM TRIRIGA Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) applications. They are currently seeking a Front-End Developer to join part of their expanding team in their new Birmingham offices.
Your job is to work on the development of front-end technologies, focusing on system usability.
We need you to be:
• Passionate about delivering the best possible user experience
• Experienced in building web applications
• Up to date with modern front-end technologies and frameworks including JavaScript and, ideally, React.
• Committed to writing high-quality software
• Able and keen to learn new technologies
• Happy to work in a highly collaborative environment
• Keen to learn and develop technical knowledge.
* Well versed in delivering software using Agile methodologies
Main Areas of Responsibility
*
* Work with clients to guide the technical direction for their front-end technology.
* Work with other development teams to ensure compatibility of the front-end technology approach
* Deliver features into the client’s core product, focusing on the frontend but unafraid to step into backend code as well
* Code review your peers' contributions
Requirements
*
* Significant experience with cutting-edge Web development technologies e.g. HTML / HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript
*
* Experience of modern JavaScript frameworks
* Version control with Git or similar code repository tools
* 5 years recent residence I the UK (pre-requisite for security clearance)
Beneficial
*
* A Computer Science degree
Experience of any of the following: , Angular, NodeJS, RESTful API, NestJS
*
* Experience of IBM TRIRIGA or similar Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS)
* MOD Security Clearance
