Job Description

I'm currently recruiting for a Fullstack Developer for a public sector client who are on an exciting digital journey working on a variety of projects that aim to help improve the services that they provide.

Remote Working – Largely remote role with occasional travel for whole team meet ups

Flexible Working

25 days annual leave on entry, increasing on a sliding scale to 30 days after 5 years' service

Role Purpose

The postholder will design & create secure, accessible digital applications & services.

Specifies, designs and builds large or complex business solutions, utilising 'low-code' tools where possible, enhanced by making use of open source front end and backend languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript & C#

Undertakes analysis of design options assessing and managing associated risks and ensures a balance of functional, quality, security, policy, accessibility and service management requirements.

Monitors and reports on the progress of development projects, using appropriate quality assurance processes to ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with agreed standards, methods & procedures.


Making Effective Decisions Evaluates and reviews development methods and tools, providing advice in the methods, tools and standards used in the wider team

Designs systems characterized by managed levels of risk, manageable business and technical complexity and meaningful impact.

Changing and Improving Establishes development standards, methods and procedures and ensures they are applied effectively.

Is responsible for developing secure applications and defines application security standards.

Is responsible for defining technical standards to ensure apps and services adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG AA).

Seeks to identify and rectify problems and deviations from schedule, in particular changes in requirements, especially where these have resource implications
