Job Description

WeDoData are working with a FinTech company in London, who are backed by over 20 years experience in trading and investment. They offer products in trading and wealth management, with the aim of helping a new generation become confident investors, using feature rich mobile apps.

The role

The Head of Data Analytics & BI will play a key role in building and developing the data analytics team, and strategising the way data is utilised to create actionable insights and inform decisions. You and your team will be tasked with architecting, developing band managing the data warehouse and analytics dashboard of the company. You will give hands on technical leadership to the development and operations team, and build relationships with stakeholders to understand and document their requirements, and give an understanding as to how analytics can enhance and accelerate decision making.

Tech & Qualifications

As this is a very senior role, a qualification in a relevant field such as computer science, mathematics, business analytics or statistics would be beneficial, along with extensive commercial experience involving team management and developing and productionising a multitude of predictive modelling.

You will need to be proficient with:

* Programming languages such as Python/R

* Visualisation tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, PowerBI or Looker.

* Cloud based technologies such as AWS, GCP and Azure

* Distributed systems including Hadoop/SQL and Apache Spark, Python, QlikView/QlikSense, Azure Synapse.

You will need good communication and soft skills, such as relationship management, leadership and problem solving capabilities.

This role reports to the Chief Data Officer, and requires the ability to strategically manage and build a team, whilst being hands on. It is being offered on a hybrid working arrangement in London, and a salary being offered of up to £120k
