Job Description
My Client is on the hunt for a Head of Enterprise Applications, who will be a critical member of the senior Leadership team underpinning the development of their IT strategy. You will be expected to develop relationships within this team and key stakeholders across the business to provide best in class application and data management solutions and services.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The strategic development and subsequent support of the Application architecture including but not limited to PMS/ERP, DMS, CMS, collaboration and online solutions and other enterprise wide applications
Working with the Director of IT and other key stakeholders Implement solutions to support the IT Strategy of simplification, rationalisation and data integrity and quality
Develop a process centric ethos within the team, ensuring that appropriate skills and expertise exists to challenge and optimise business processes across all areas of the business
Manage relationships with key suppliers and 3rd party consultancy relationships to support the achievement of objectives
Manage the performance and development of the Enterprise Applications Team
Support the PMO in defining the resources, budgets and skills required; and ensuring projects are completed on time and to budget
In conjunction with the BIS Leadership Team, contribute to the development and implementation of the overall IT strategy, in particular the applications strategy
About you
Educated to degree level or equivalent, candidates should have extensive experience of and managing large business process centric projects, deploying complex programmes across multiple business functions. Extensive experience of finance, PMS/ERP and workflow systems are required. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, willing to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Candidates’ experience should include some of the following:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading and managing application development / deployment teams
Extensive experience of deploying ERP/PMS, DMS and CMS solutions in a professional services setting, preferably Legal Services
In depth knowledge of the legal software and Legal Tech markets
In depth knowledge of process modelling techniques and their application in application development and deployment
Solid understanding of workflow technologies
Extensive experience of developing Business Intelligence infrastructure in a variety of commercial environments
Experience of managing 3rd party suppliers, through RFP process through to performance management and SLA monitoring
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
Excellent attention to detail and an ability to deliver high quality work
Experience of standard project management methodologies and working practices
Experience of large technology-enabled programmes of change, delivered in a complex and collaborative multi-vendor environment
Ability to influence at all levels
Appreciation of working across different cultures in an international setting
Delivering strategies, objectives and plans
Excellent stakeholder relationship management, with confidence and conviction that engages and influences senior business leaders, even in challenging situations
Strong delivery focus and proactive style, that motivates, builds trust and inspires staff and other delivery partners to engage with and commit to high-tempo working and delivery
Ability to extract and translate business requirements into well-formed and consistent architectural requirements at conceptual, logical and physical levels, including functional and non-functional aspects
Good understanding of technical infrastructure
Advantageous
Experience of working at a large law firm
Experience of working in a regulated sector
Any experience of ERP solutions such as Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics
