T2M Resourcing are currently recruiting a Head of Product Design on behalf of a growing software development business, this role will be vital in the redevelopment of their main product. This is an exciting time of growth for the business, as they bring in new development and design staff following significant investment from their Group business.
As Head of Product Design, you will be responsible for the strategy and roadmap of the product during the development and innovation of new technologies such as IoT. In addition to this, you will take on a hands-on role in UX/UI design and research.
Responsibilities of the Head of Product Design:
Develop and deliver the product design and user experience roadmap/strategy including graphic design/UX/UI
Research and investigate product markets and competitors
Provide market insight in design, features, and technologies
Hands on work with wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and designs
Build relationships with stakeholders and clients to communicate new product developments
Worked collaboratively with team leaders in research, data, and software development
Create unique and innovative solutions to product design
Build and lead a team of UX/UI Designers
Requirements to be successful as Head of Product Design:
Proven hands-on designer with a portfolio or demonstrable projects
Degree or similar qualification in Design, Computer Science or similar discipline
Understanding of data driven products
Extensive SaaS product design, UX, and UI experience
Able to build knowledge of specific platforms and markets, becoming an SME
Innovative and creative personality
Confident working on the end-to-end design process, from research to launch
Strong relationship building and leadership skills
There is an office based in Warrington and there is an expectation of 2-3 days a week in the office to form a collaborative partnership with both existing and new teams
